INTRODUCTION
Leader Butterfly Valves are designed to meet the flow control requirement of plumbing, fire-fighting and HVAC application. The body seat is vulcanised in-situ onto the body and offers 100% bi-directional sealing. The wafer-style body has universal design to fit between flanges of all almost all standards.

  • Design Standard: BS 5155, EN 593, API 609 CAT. A.
  • Wafer type design makes it compact and take lesser space.
  • Dynamic sealing of concentric disc is obtained with vulcanised rubber seat at very low torque.
  • High-precision disc external profile for smooth operation & tight shut-off sealing with low operating torque.
  • Moulded rubber body seat extending on to the contact faces ensures perfect sealing and eliminates the need for separate flange gaskets.
  • Notch plate ensures the locking of the hand lever at different positions in addition to open and closed positions.
  • Shaft sealing is ensured by double sealing of Bush and ’0’ ring combination.
  • Body castings made of superior FG 260 grade cast iron to ensure additional strength.
  • Valve disc made of ductile iron with epoxy coating offers high strength against pressure.
  • Shafts made of martensitic stainless steel to ensure maximum strength and torsional rigidity.

INTRODUCTION

  • Leader Ductile Dual Plate Check Valves are automatic, quick-acting valve designed to prevent the reversal of flow in a piping system. The two valve discs, eccentrically embedded, have springs which force the valve to close in case no pressure is available. The pressure of the fluid passing through the system opens the valve discs, while any reversal of flow will close the valve discs. Closure is accomplished by the spring action and by back pressure.
  • Design Standard: API 594.
Retainer-less Construction ensures that they do not drill entirely into the valve body to allow the hinge pin and the stop pin to be fitted with a dual-plate check valve. The feature ensures high integrity & tamper-proof design, ensures no leakage from the body.
  • Body & Disc castings made of superior Ductile Iron ASTM A395 grade to ensure additional strength.
  • Wafer type design, to take lesser space than the Reflux / Swing Check Valve.
  • Being light in weight has more rugged construction than the standard Swing Type Check Valve, which needs expensive foundation and special supports.
  • Less wear and tear of seat surface due to resilient integrally moulded body seating face.
  • Stopper pin prevents the discs from coming into contact with each other and thus prevents disc damage. The stopper pin also prevents spring failure by ensuring that the discs don’t travel beyond the full-open position.
  • Low cracking pressure design (operable at low pressures).
  • Independent spring design feature also available which gives less scrubbing of disc & independents movement of discs.
  • Inherently non-slamming, no external devices/attachment required.
  • Water hammering effect is minimized in this design since the closing of valve does not depend upon any back pressure or flow.
  • Either vertically (only upwards) or horizontally installed.
  • Lifting eyebolt option is provided.

INTRODUCTION

Leader forged steel check valve is to provide with single disc. With the force of medium, the disc will automatically open or close. When the media stops the flow, the disc will be closed under its own force. No manual intervention is involved in the whole process Check valve is mainly to prevent the media reverse flow and ensure one-way flow of media channels only. It prevents accidents while a sudden loss of power in the pipeline medium such as the power equipment like pump damages, and the medium reserve flow against power source.
